Job Title: Casual Event Staff – Bar Staff and Labour Assistants

Location: Various cities on tour with The Paramour Cabaret
Start Date: Based on home city

Job Overview: The Paramour Cabaret is looking for enthusiastic and reliable casual staff to join our team in each city we perform. We require bar staff with exceptional customer service skills and labour assistants to help with the setup (bump in) and teardown (bump out) of our big top tent and stage. Key Responsibilities:

Bar Staff:

  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons efficiently and responsibly.
  • Operate bar equipment, handle cash transactions, and process card payments.
  • Ensure the bar area is kept clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and licensing regulations.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to enhance the guest experience.
  • Assist with other duties as needed during performance times.

Requirements for Bar Staff:

  • Must have a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
  • Must be over the age of 18.
  • Previous experience in a bar or customer service role preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Labour Assistance:

  • Assist in the setup and dismantling of the big top tent, stage equipment, seating, and other performance-related infrastructure.
  • Load and unload equipment, ensuring items are handled with care.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines during all manual handling tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment during setup and teardown.

Requirements for Labour Assistance:

  • Must be physically fit, injury-free, and capable of lifting heavy objects for extended periods.
  • Must be able to stand and work on their feet for long periods of time.
  • Previous experience in events, construction, or stage setup preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late nights as needed.

Compensation: Hourly wage paid weekly
